Take the time to get buy-in from critical leaders. If you haven’t read The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell, get a copy of the book. He explains how to identify the people who can make change happen or block it completely and then talks about how to get them engaged. There seems to need to be a system of positive and negative consequences. Find rewards that educators will respond to and make them available. Hold schools accountable. Schools that take the process seriously do make significant changes, but it’s easy to get bogged down in bureaucracy.--S. Brooks-Young

Expect that the process will take some time and use feedback systems to continue to make adjustments after implementation.  For "self evaluation" to really have a positive impact, it needs to be embraced at all levels (regions, schools, classrooms, and communities).  The change process will evolve at different rates among the different groups.  Devin Vodicka
